CIDER lovers will be able to enjoy a range of draught British craft ciders from during a 17-day festival at four Black Country pubs.

The festival will take place at The Full Moon in High Street, Dudley, and The Abraham Darby in the Merryhill Centre, The Clifton in Bull Ring, Sedgley and The Waterfront Inn in Level Street, Brierley Hill, from Friday July 8 until Sunday July 24.

Around 15 ciders will be on offer including some not previously available in the pubs and others produced exclusively for the festival. They will be available from £2.55 to £2.89 a pint.

One of the ciders (Cidre Normandie), has been made by a visiting French cider maker from Normandy in collaboration with an English cider maker.

The festival selection will feature apple, pear and fruit ciders.

They include award-winning ciders, a cider made with sloe berries, a cider matured in oak vats, a cider flavoured with mango and another with damson as well as strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant cider.

Festival ciders include; Fruit Bat (Snails Bank), Monkey Mango (Cockeyed Cider Company), Cidre Normandie (La Ferme de Billy), Dark Cider the Moon (Orchard Pig), Midnight Special Perry (Mr Whitehead's), Tempted Sweet Irish Craft Cider (Tempted Cider), Muddy Scamp (Purbeck Cider Company) and Red Hen (Worley's).

Unusual brews will include Down Down cider (produced by Celtic Marches) in collaboration with rock group Status Quo, Texan style Cornish hard cider (Healeys) and Friels Vintage, the first vintage cider crafted with juice from traditional English eating apple varieties (Aston Manor).

Full Moon manager, Nanette Young, said: "The Full Moon will be offering a superb selection of ciders. We are confident that they will appeal to cider lovers and those enjoying cider for the first time."

Customers can enjoy three one-third pint of ciders for the price of a pint.

Tasting notes on all of the ciders will be available at the pubs.
