A BRAND new family friendly resort is opening in Phuket this month to lure more tourists to the Land of the Smile - Thailand.

The new Angsana Laguna Phuket will offer families fantastic facilities including a comprehensive children’s program and a tree house-inspired double-storey Kids’ Club. Located within Laguna Phuket in Bang Tao Bay, the new Angsana will be the fourth hotel in Thailand that is managed and operated by Banyan Tree.

The Tree House Kids’ Club will be available for children aged between 5 and 16 years old. It will aim to give children a balanced mix of fun and learning, from imaginative art and craft to interactive story telling sessions. Other activities such as cooking classes for kids are taken a step further with pre-cooking tours of the Kids Club’s very own herb garden, whilst young budding artists can be coached by renowned artists visiting from around the world. Other cultural activities include classical Thai dancing and the legendary Muay Thai, ensuring that junior guests experience cultural elements that are unique to Thailand.

Young girls can also enjoy all the fun of a day-spa with trained therapists from the award-winning Angsana Spa. Toddlers below the age of four, under the care of an adult, will be welcomed at the club where dedicated toddler playgrounds and space will be available. When it’s time for the young ones to refuel their energy levels, the diner-style Kids Café on the upper level of the Kids’ Club has everything that they could ask for.

Whilst the youngsters are occupied at the resort’s Kids’ Club, parents can spend time relaxing and rejuvenating in the Angsana Spa, or enjoying quiet time in one of the bars including Phuket’s largest and most fashionable Beach Club. For those seeking a more active holiday, the resort’s comprehensive gym, complete with personal trainers, aerobics and yoga studios and range of land and water sports will be available.
