LANGLEY Margot Sadly passed away on 3rd May 2017. Beloved daughter of John and Margaret, sister to Tom and John. Funeral service to be held at St Peter's Church on Thursday 25th May at 11:00am followed by private burial. Marogt would prefer colour to be worn. Family flowers only. Dear John senior, Margaret, Tom and John junior

I'd like to offer you my sincere condolences at the loss of your daughter and sister.

I will always remember your family from the time you were living in Belgium (I think Tom is my age and was about 12 when you left the country; we went to the same school in Schoten) and I have been meaning to contact you for quite some time, but couldn't find any address or other way of contact. Just by at random tapping your names into Google, I fell upon Margot's obituary. It shocked me and - more than before - I felt drawn to contact you. I can imagine how the passing away of a close loved one leaves you heart-broken and makes you think about how close life and death are to each other, how dear life is, but also how hard life can be. Even when you have made peace with what is and maybe even learnt from it.

I know it's been a long time, but after the death of my mum in 2013 (to whom Margaret has been a wonderful friend and great support), I really wanted to be able to write or talk to Margaret again about the time she spent with my mum and the exchanges she had with her. It would help me heal as well.
If you are in any way able to reach out, Margaret (or maybe one of the other family members who feels called), I would truly appreciate that kind gesture.
