War talk
BROMSGROVE residents are being invited to the tale of one man's war.
Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Lester Simpson will be appearing at Avoncroft Museum of Buildings, in Stoke Heath, on Sunday, April 20, to tell the story of his great uncle's war.
It is the 90th anniversary of Albert Scrimshaw's death, who was killed at the Battle of Paschendale. The evening will look at how a young Oxford butler marched to war, never to return.
Doors open at 7pm, with the talk starting at 8pm, and tickets cost £7 per person.
