"I’m 28, I work in a pharmacy and I’m standing as a fresh change from the usual ‘old boys club’ politicians.
I live locally with my children and worry about whether they’ll afford a home here when they’re older, saving for their education or the future of the NHS as I couldn't afford private care.
"After going through my own tough time, I decided I could accept things as they are and struggle against the system or I could stand and fight for change. When I began campaigning here with the local Liberal Democrats a few years ago, I met the most dedicated local councillors. They never give up fighting for our district and have won many successes for us despite the Conservatives blocking or ignoring the issues.
"For a working mother like me, the Liberal Democrat influence in government made a real difference. An £825 income tax cut, extending free childcare, free infant school meals, a record number of apprenticeships and the triple lock guarantee on pensions.
“Things don’t have to stay the same. If you want someone genuine and willing to fight for your interests, please consider me, your Liberal Democrat candidate, for your vote on May 7th.”
