A leading Worcestershire commercial property consultancy and chartered surveyors has unveiled ambitious growth plans on the eve of its fifth birthday.

GJS Dillon LLP, which has offices in Bromsgrove and Worcester, plans to grow its management, building surveying and valuation departments, to take advantage of the improving commercial property market in the county.

According to partner John Dillon, who founded the business in October 2010, this will mean a substantial investment in both new and existing staff. Mr Dillon says: “We have an intensive training programme for our people at all levels, including a modern apprentice who we recruited earlier this year. We are also looking to recruit good people who would benefit from working in a more relaxed yet hard working office environment in Worcestershire.”

In the past five years GJS Dillon has grown from two to nine staff, merging with two commercial property consultancies to bring in new partners and areas of expertise, to provide a comprehensive commercial property service, and unrivalled geographical coverage, throughout Worcestershire and along the M5 and A38 corridors.

“The commercial property market in Worcestershire continues to strengthen, so now is a good time for us to invest,” continues Mr Dillon. “But we can only do this with the continuing support of our staff and clients.

“Their support and loyalty over the past five years has been fantastic, and if nothing else I dearly hope that we have created a company brand that is now associated with hard work, integrity, expertise in the field of commercial property and above all, I hope that we are a respected and well thought of local company in our business community.

“The core values and building blocks that are now in place will allow the sustainable growth of GJS Dillon over the next five years and beyond.”

In the past six months GJS Dillon has advised on a number of key property transactions in Worcestershire including: the sale of a key site in Worcester for a major Waitrose Supermarket; ongoing town centre regeneration advice for Bromsgrove town centre and for Worcestershire County Council; letting a distribution centre in Worcester to one of London’s top kitchen and cookware shops and brands; the relocation from Worcester to Droitwich of a rapidly expanding manufacturer of plastic extrusions, and the sales and lettings of numerous offices and industrial units across the county.
