We are delighted to announce a merger with Hunters Group Limited, based in the West Midlands.
The two businesses will combine to become one of the top brands across the UK, conducting around 10,000 sales and lettings transactions annually. Both businesses were established over 20 years ago amidst early 1990’s recession but have thrived and become leaders in their respective markets.
Kevin Hollinrake, Managing Director and co-founder of Hunters Property Group and John Ozwell, founder and Chairman of Hunters Group Limited released a joint statement on the news: “We are delighted to be able to unify the Hunters name under a single business. We have been friends and admirers of each other’s businesses for many years and are very excited about the potential that Hunters has to become a huge brand in estate agency across the UK”.
Kevin continues: “As we continue to grow our company, this is an important strategic merger that is designed to complement our existing network. Hunters Group Limited bring a wealth of experience and diverse specialisms and will reinforce our strength across the Midlands housing market, adding to the branches we already have in Harborne and Stourbridge. The investment into Hunters Group Limited marks the latest effort to boost Hunters coverage and success in the residential market, both across the Midlands and nationwide”.
John Ozwell commented: “Both Hunters brands have been expanding and getting stronger over the years and it was becoming clear that our marketing areas were increasingly getting closer. Kevin and I share the same company ethos and mission which is to provide a first class customer focused service and a powerful marketing presence within our areas of operation. It seems quite natural therefore, for us to combine brands and work together to create the best independent estate agency network across the UK”.
John Ozwell will join the main Hunters Property Group Operations Team but otherwise our management team, structure and business direction will remain unchanged. The expanded network will now have 112 branches and we expect to have over 140 offices by the end of the year with a plan for further growth to around 500 offices in five years’ time. Exciting times!
