10:58am Thursday 26th April 2012 in Base Sessions
SINGER Kyra Burrows is among a host of performers lined up to rock out at Stourbridge's biggest party.
The Black Country singer will be on the bill at the Party in The Park, set for Monday May 7 at Mary Stevens Park, Norton.
The event is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors.
Promoters SB Events have lined up pop band 911 to headline the main live music stage, which will feature a mix of international and Stourbridge-based artists.
Other attractions at the family day out will include a visit from children's characters Roary the Racing car with Big Chris and Peppa Pig, NSW championship wrestling featuring Britain’s biggest biceps Tiny Iron and military re-enactments from throughout the ages.
Mick Willetts, from SB Events said: “With over 20 quality live musical acts and plenty to entertain the children it promises to be a great family day out.
"We have kept the ticket price as low as possible at £3 to ensure this an affordable day for the entire family, we are also very pleased to be supporting Help for Heroes.”
Black Country Training Group, which provides education and training programmes for young people, are teaming up with Base Studios at the event.
BCTG managing director Chris Luty explains what the organisation aims to do and how their partnership with the Stourbridge studio will work.
The Base Sessions is recorded and produced by Base Media, Stourbridge.
