A ‘Fair’ old convention of folk rock

THE Fairport Convention will be providing their take on acoustic folk-rock at the Artrix tonight (Wednesday).

Fairport Convention are renowned as the band that invented the British folk-rock genre.

They won the coveted BBC Radio 2 Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2006, while Liege and Lief was voted most influential folk album of all time by Radio 2 listeners.

Tickets for the show cost £16 and £13 for concessions, and the show starts at 8pm.
