THERE’S a hint of silver in the air for Birmingham International Jazz Festival as the annual music event celebrates its 25th year.
To mark the big birthday, film footage featuring dozens of top jazz musicians from across the world will hit the silver screen at venues throughout the West Midlands during the festival, which runs from July 3 to 12.
And for the first time performances will be filmed live by Chamber TV at a host of venues across Birmingham along with interviews with artists and organisers offering a long lasting taste of the festival to fans who can’t make every gig.
Performances can be viewed retrospectively on www.birminghamjazzfestivaltv. com.
Managing director of Wolverhampton Science Park-based Chamber TV, Richard Westhead, said: “We are delighted to be able to provide Birmingham Jazz Festival TV for our online viewers; with the highlights of such a historic event for the first time in years and furthermore to be able to exclusively film and archive this type of video.”
