Lady Colin Campbell wants viewers to stop voting for her to do Bushtucker Trials on I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
The author – dubbed Lady C on the ITV show – ended up winning nine meals for camp in Helmets of Hell.
She told presenters Ant and Dec: “Some of it I actually enjoyed, thanks to you two. I just hope the British public now vote for someone else.”
Lady C has faced more public-voted Bushtucker Trials than any other celebrity so far on this current series.
She triumphed in stomach-churning eating trial Disaster Chef, but refused to take part in Panic Pit because it involved being locked up underground.
Her third challenge involved putting her head into five clear helmets with various nasties, including crickets, green ants, spiders and scorpions.
She branded the trial as “tiresome” and “a bore”.
The celebrities were given an opportunity to win a stay in the luxurious jungle boutique hotel.
They had to get into groups and play a challenge.
Dragons’ Den star Duncan Bannatyne, Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann were the first team to play.
A hotel reception full of snakes awaited them. Their task was to find three different keys that unlocked a box with a key inside.
Next up were Tony Hadley, Yvette Fielding and Susannah Constantine. They faced a room full of rats.
Both teams completed their task.
The camp’s dinner, courtesy of Lady C’s Bushtucker Trial win, was a goat’s leg.
But a row broke out over whether to boil it or fry it.
“I hope we’ve got pepper. Who ever heard of goat without pepper?” Lady C said before asking choreographer Brian Friedman if he knew how to cook goat.
“Do you?” he asked.
“Yes, I’m Jamaican,” she replied. “If no curry, we need peppers in it.”
A heated discussion soon followed, but the camp mates would not listen to Lady C.
She complained about Brian to footballer Kieron Dyer.
“I’m Jamaican, I won the meal, and it’s a Jamaican dish. You’d imagine he’d at least listen, but he can’t because he’s so competitive,” she said.
Kieron defended the author, Lady C.
“She’s trying to give you her opinion and you lot are dismissing her,” he said. “Who has cooked goat? You haven’t cooked goat. She has.”
“Why are you mad at me?” asked Brian.
“I’m mad at everyone,” he replied.
Once the goat was cooked, Lady C and Kieron sat together to eat.
Earlier, reality television stars Vicky and Ferne discussed the lack of men in the camp.
“I’m so frustrated. There’s no young fit men,” said Geordie Shore’s Vicky.
The girls told Scottish entrepreneur Duncan that he is “the hunk” of the camp.
“Thank you very much. A real compliment for a 66-year-old pensioner,” he said.
I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! is broadcast on ITV at 9pm.
