Theatre review - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Festival Theatre, Malvern, until Saturday
TOURING still and still terrific.
Joseph is on his rounds again and the response and the demand for tickets is just as loyal, noisy and hectic as ever.
Anyone who hasn't already got a ticket for this week's run in the county of this long-standing musical, is going to be disappointed as they are likely to be struggling for one.
Once again it's a great cast, with great voices, and the usual full colour spectacle.
Craig Chalmers shows why he was one of the most popular finalists in the recent hit BBC tv series, Any Dream Will Do, with a stylish Joseph, while there is a change from the norm with a male narrator in Chris Barton. And to use a well worn tv show catchphrase - Didn't he do well!?' Didn't they all do well?
No wonder the audience rose as one at the end to deliver a rousing and rapturous ovation.
