Review – Pack of Lies, Festival Theatre, Malvern, until Saturday, April 5.
SEE this gripping play and you will probably never be able to look at your neighbours in the same way as you did when you left for work this morning.
Hugh Whitemore has written a fascinating stage play – centred on two neighbours – guaranteed to keep you guessing what's been going on behind the curtains and on the edge of your seats right until the end.
Without giving too much away, we are talking espionage, and I can vouch that I spied some wonderful performances from a talented cast led by the evergreen and admirable Jenny Seagrove.
With Simon Shepherd for company, along with Lorna Luft and Daniel Hill, this is a very strong cast which plays this superb drama to perfection – complete with all its echoes of the Soviet infiltration into British society during the Cold War.
