FANCY treading the boards in this year's Palace Theatre Panto?

Young girls are being encouraged to audition for the theatre’s annual pantomime Beauty And The Beast, starring Sam Attwater (EastEnders and Dancing on Ice champion) and Nicole Faraday (Emmerdale and Bad Girls).

A spokesman from the theatre said: "We will be requiring girls aged between nine and 11-years-old. Maximum height 4ft 11ins.

"They must be at least the equivalent standard of ISTD Grade One in ballet, tap and modern and following a recognised syllabus (IDTA, ISTD, RAD etc) and should also have strong performance skills.

"Girls attending auditions must be accompanied and must have a valid signed parental permission form. Please bring all relevant shoes and be prepared to stay for some hours."

The added: "Successful children must be available for the whole of the rehearsal and performance period and must live within a maximum of 30 minutes travelling distance of the theatre.

"They must be available for rehearsals from November 24 until the opening of the panto on December 5 and be available throughout the run from December 5 to 31.

Auditions will be held at The Palace Theatre on Sunday, September 4 at 10am.
