THEATREGOERS who enjoyed last year's production of Oliver! by the Malvern Theatres Young Company are being urged to see this summer's production Seussical The Musical.

Based on the works of famous children's author Dr Seuss, it features a cast of 45, ranging in age from eight to 24, in a musical caper suitable for the whole family.

The show includes some of Dr Seuss's best-loved characters including Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Amayzing Mayzie and many more, with settings ranging from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.

The show is written by Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, and this production is directed by Andy Reiss of Beyond the Barricade, his fifth consecutive show for the company.

The Malvern Theatres Young Company gives young people the opportunity to perform in a leading regional venue, working with professional directors and production teams.

Past successes include Little Shop Of Horrors, Les Miserables and Jesus Christ Superstar, and this year’s offering promises just as many thrills and outstanding dramatic and musical performances. So come along to support this talented young company of local performers.
