REDDITCH residents are being urged to take part in a colour run event at Arrow Valley Country Park for Sight Concern Worcestershire.

Starting off dressed in white, runners (or walkers) will pass through paint stations en route.

By the time people finish, they are covered in brightly coloured paint.

Jenny Gage, chief officer at the charity, said: “The day is all about having fun with family and friends, and giving back to the local community. The event is open to all ages."

Fiona Blake, Sight Concern fundraising manager, added: “We’re so delighted that so many people and organisations in Redditch are enthusiastic about this colourful experience. Thanks to our generous sponsors who so far include Hayward Wright, Specsavers Redditch and Southco."

Entry fee, including entertainment and a pair of neon sunglasses, costs £11 adults (students £8.50, £7.50 children, and £29 for a family ticket).

The event is on Sunday, September 11 starting at 11am.
