ACTING royalty takes centre stage as smash Broadway show No Man’s Land comes to VUE cinema in Redditch.
Old pals Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are reunited in London’s West End when they tread-the-boards for the National Theatre Live production.
The comedy classic by Harold Pinter will be broadcast live to cinemas across the country from Wyndham’s Theatre on December 15.
It follows two ageing writers – Hirst (Stewart) and Spooner (McKellen) – as they embark on a drinking session in a Hempstead pub before heading back to Hirst’s stately house.
As the pair become increasingly inebriated their conversation soon turns into a revealing power game, which is further complicated by the arrival of two sinister younger men.
The broadcast will be followed by an exclusive question and answer session with the cast and director Sean Mathias.
Johnny Carr, alternative content manager at Vue UK and Ireland, said: "Sir Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are two of the greatest actors of all time. No Man’s Land has blown away Broadway audiences and received glowing reviews across the boards. We are really excited about this National Theatre production, as once again we bring the best of London’s West End to cinema across the UK."
No Man’s Land will be screened at VUE Redditch on December 15 at 7pm.
