STAND by for some habit forming fun when Sister Act and the hilarious story of Deloris Van Cartier breezes into the county in December.

Sister Act tells the story of a disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder and is forced to go into protective custody hidden in one place she won’t be found - a convent!

The show is being directed and choreographed by the outspoken Strictly Come Dancing judge, Craig Revel Horwood, who says: “I am truly thrilled to be directing and choreographing this all new production of Sister Act, a show I fell in love with when I saw it a few years ago.”

It stars Joanna Francis and opens on Monday December 5 at Malvern’s Festival Theatre for a one week run until the following Saturday, December 10.

The show is based on the smash-hit movie starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith.

Disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of the Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow ‘sisters’ find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.

Although better known for his barbed criticism on Strictly, Craig Revel Horwood is also a familiar face in the world of stage, having not only directed and choreographed numerous shows but also as a performer.

His West End theatre credits include: 'Munkustrap' in Cats at the New London Theatre, Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and ‘Harry’ in Crazy for You at the Prince Edward Theatre and more recently ‘Miss Hannigan’ in the tour of Annie.
