A WHOLE host of family fun is being offered by the Royal Shakespeare Company this October with an action-packed schedule of events.
Highlights include:
• Celebrate the RSC’s forthcoming production of A Christmas Carol with two special workshops
• Learn specially commissioned choral arrangements of traditional wassailing songs in the run-up to Christmas and Twelfth Night
• Enjoy brand new baby and toddler groups starting this October half-term
The offerings include a baby and toddler group taster session for £4 per child at the Events Space, The Other Place. These are from Monday, October 23, 10.15am-10.45am, 6-18 months;11.15am-12noon, 18 months-four years.
There will also be a Wassailing Workshop on Monday, October 23, 11am-12.45pm for £3.50 adults, £2.50 child. At the Clore Learning Centre those who sign up will join ex-Bellowhead member and choral arranger Paul Sartin and learn specially commissioned choral arrangements of traditional wassailing songs and Christmas carols - ahead of the RSC’s first Wassail event on January 6, 2018.
Other attractions include the chance for children aged between four and eight to take part in a fun and active session to introduce themselves to scenes and themes from the RSC’s Festive play, A Christmas Carol through simple rehearsal techniques.
This will cost £3.50 adults, £2.50 children and is being held in the Upper Circle Bar on the afternoon of October 24.
There’s also Blood, Guts and Gore on October 25 at The Other Place and a number of exhibitions along with free drop-in activities and tours.
