TWO highly praised singer-songwriters will take centre stage at Jack Blackman's 'Tuery Sessions' event at the Cross Keys in Alcester this weekend.

Tearing it up with his own raucous interpretation of traditional blues, Pistol Pete Wearn is a renowned vocalist, slide guitarist, harmonica player and songwriter.

Equipped with acoustic guitar and stompbox he blends traditional material and originals with the odd slide-ifed cover.

Musically, Chris Martin, is a blues shouter and guitarist, playing slide and finger style and also lap style.

Throughout a long and varied musical career, spanning well in excess of a year and a half he has both thrilled and puzzled audiences the world over (well round Yorkshire).

The free event on Sunday, Match 11, starts at 6pm and will feature a raffle and jam session.
