THERE’S no need to travel far for a special Easter treat - simply head for the Malvern Hills and Countrytastic which will offer an action packed, hands on event with food, farming and the countryside at its core.

Whatever the weather, with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, CountryTastic should be an excellent day out for all the family on Thursday, April 5, at the Three Counties Showground.

There’s so much for youngsters to get involved in, with many of the activities free - dig for treasure with Herefordshire and Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust or make butter with Cotteswold Dairy.

Other activities are tractor and trailer rides, a Pottery Workshop providing the chance to create a clay sheep with professional potters from Eastnor Pottery and The Flying Potter.

There will also be a Farming Discovery Barn, a Play Barn, Farm Kitchen and also a parade of livestock.

Also making a special guest appearance will be Cotswolds farmer Adam Henson, now a well-known face on our television screens in farming and other programmes.

There will be lots of fun countryside activities to get involved with including bird nest making, willow weaving, whistle making and so much more.

Visitors will also get the chance to experience the buzz of a livestock market as an expert auctioneer demonstrates how a livestock market works and how animals are sold in our mock auction.

And just purely for fun you can join in with the British Pig Association Junior Club Pig Agility demonstrations. The challenge will to get your pig through the course in the fastest time?
