HOW does a mermaid survive out of water?

The answer to this intriguing puzzle will be answered when an enchanting new production from the award-winning Metta Theatre transforms Hans Christian Andersen’s well-loved tale, The Little Mermaid, into a spectacular circus show.

Malvern’s Forum Theatre is the venue where spectacular circus and spellbinding songs will combine to entertain all the family from Tuesday, May 1 to Saturday, May 5.

The Little Mermaid longs for life on land, while the Prince is consumed by the lure of the sea.

When a raging storm brings them together, the wheels of fate are set in motion.

Sacrificing her voice to the powerful Sea Witch, the Mermaid will face many more obstacles if she is ever to be with her Prince. For life on land is not as she dreamed and, unable to return to her sisters beneath, she remains floating helplessly above the waves.

Her only hope rests with her sisters – can they help the Prince conquer his fears, return to the sea and reveal his true feelings, before it is too late…

Written by Poppy Burton-Morgan, who also directs, and designed by William Reynolds – the team that brought audiences the smash hit Jungle Book – with music by Matt Devereaux, and starring seven of the world’s leading circus artists, this breathtakingly beautiful production will enchant everyone from 8 to 88 and even beyond.

The Little Mermaid is a triumphant tale of love overcoming all and tickets for the show are on sale at the Box Office 01684 892277 and online at malvern-theatres.co.uk.
