LOOKING for somewhere special to go for a quick drink, or a relaxed night out with friends?

When it comes to bars, Birmingham definitely has a lot to offer - especially cocktail bars.

From amazing themed bars in the city centre to hidden speakeasies which require passwords to get in, there is something for everyone.

One of those offering something unique, and for those that might not be aware, is Tom’s Kitchen bar in the Mailbox.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

Open daily from midday until late, the bar is ideal for those wanting to drop in for a lunchtime drink or an after-work cocktail, or the perfect place if you want to spend an evening with friends.

The bar's massive cocktail selection includes the classics such as Bramble, Mai Tai and Whisky Sour, as well as those designed to impress with some hard-to-find spirits and a few surprises.

These include an Oakie Cokie, made with Bimber oak aged vodka, gomme, and mint, and the aptly named Acai For Sore Eyes, which is made with cachaça, Acai berry liqueur, pomegranate, lime, and agave.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

The bar has also just launched its new summer cocktail menu featuring a number of seasonal cocktails from the delicate and fruity to the solid and sour.

Highlights include the seriously strong Marmalade Medley with bourbon whiskey, Cointreau, marmalade, orange sugar, and bitters, and Tequila Mockingbird, which is made with Ocho Tequila, lime, gomme, lavender syrup, and bitters.

Another popular one, both among customers as well as bartenders, is Spring Time Breeze comprising Bimber Summer fruits, Chambord, lemon, lavender syrup, soda water and strawberry syrup.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

There are plenty of other options from something long and tall or short and sharp, and if there is something that isn’t on the menu the more than helpful staff should be happy to oblige.

If you're serious about cocktails, or want a chilled night out, or just a cool place to hang out after work, then head to Tom’s Kitchen bar.

They also offer cocktail master classes for those who want to have a go themselves.
