TWO musicians from Rubery and Halesowen have re-united to produce their first song together for 35 years.

Dee Arthur James, from Rubery, has joined forces with guitarist Steve Tolley for his single ‘Dee Town’ – the latest track from his new album ‘3 Dee’.

Steve, from Halesowen, was guitarist in the Catshill-based band Dizzy Heights, alongside Dee, who achieved success across Europe in the early 80s.

Dee said: “We toured the UK and Europe back in the early 80s until going our separate ways in 83, but we’ve remained pals ever since.

“At last have got round to putting this cracking number together.”

Dee is now based in Hamburg after moving to Germany in 1984 and earning solo deals with PolyGram Records and CBS/Sony.

Steve on the other hand has continued his career in New England, USA.

Dee’s 12-track album ‘3 Dee’ includes an eclectic mix of rhythm and blues, soul, and dance. Dee is promoting his album on local radio stations this week.
