MICHELLE Pfeiffer stars in Cheri, a tale of a middle-aged woman who unexpectedly falls in love with the son of a fellow courtesan.
With a script by Christopher Hampton from the book by Collette, the film recounts the tale of a beautiful pre-World War One Parisian courtesan’s love for the son of her arch rival Madame Peloux, who she spoils and educates in the ways of love.
However, Madame Pel-oux has other plans for her son.
Director Stephen Frears, whose hits include High Fidelity and Dirty Pretty Things is at the helm and the supporting cast includes Kathy Bates and Rupert Friend.
Screenings take place at the Artrix in Bromsgrove on Sunday, June 14 at 4.30pm and 7.30pm, Mon-day, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16 at 7.30pm.
