THE line-up for this year’s Big Chill Festival has been revealed.

Hip hop superstar Kanye West – who is at number three in the charts with Katy Perry – will be headlining the event at Eastnor Castle, near Ledbury, which runs from Friday, August 5, to Sunday, August 7.

Among the other stars announced is former Led Zeppelin rocker Robert Plant, who lives near Kidderminster, who will perform with the Band of Joy on the final night.

West’s performance on the Saturday night will be a UK festival exclusive.

He will be joined on the Deer Park stage by Jesse J, who won this year’s Brit Awards critics choice, while Calvin Harris and newcomer Katy B play the Revellers Stage.

And Friday night is set to be no less impressive – the Chemical Brothers will headline the Deer Park stage, while Chipmunk will bring an urban feel to the Revellers Stage.

Melvin Benn, of Festival Republic, which took over the running of the Big Chill in 2009, said: “Having been at the forefront as a ‘boutique’ event, we have put together a programme that reflects the Big Chill’s heritage while offering up new and exciting developments for our audiences old and new alike.

“To be able to offer such well respected and diverse performances is a true pleasure and we are thrilled to be able to evolve the musical content of the festival.”
