POLICE in Bromsgrove are appealing for help to track down graffiti culprits after a spate of criminal damage in Barnt Green and Blackwell.
Over the last couple of weeks around ten locations have been hit by the vandals including fences, telephone boxes, road signs, motorway bridges and the sides of shops.
Evidence of distinctive signatures or tags' can be used to identify offenders and police are using a data base to try to identify them.
Officers are also making inquiries at local schools and increasing patrols in the affected areas.
Sergeant Nick Husbands, of Bromsgrove North police, said: "Tagging, as it is sometimes known, is criminal damage and can cost thousands of pounds to remove.

Police say the offenders may have left evidence behind on clothing or keep spray cans in their bedrooms or school lockers, and are appealing to parents and teachers to be vigilant.
