A POP impresario and railway enthusiast will be appearing at a local hall for a fundraising event.

Former Pop Idol judge Pete Waterman will be giving a talk as a locomotive owner on railway travel. The talk is part of a day of events for Trains Galore Day, at the Tardebigge Community Hall, in Church Lane, near Bromsgrove, which will also include models, the first showing of a private collection of original glass slides, and a talk by John Glaze, who is the chief boiler inspector to many main line locos. The day, which runs from 10.30am to 4pm on April 5, includes a buffet lunch, tea and cake, in the ticket price of £15.

For more information contact Michael Price on 07768364052. The proceeds will be shared between the Severn Valley Railway and St Bartholomew's Church, both of which suffered due to flooding last summer.
