A BROMSGROVE golf club has hosted a charity fund-raising competition which has been hailed a swinging success.
Law firm Harrison Clark’s annual golf day was held at Blackwell Golf Club, in Agmore Road, in September.
A total of 22 teams from across the county participated in the event, raising money for the Harrison Clark Charitable Trust (HCCT).
The trust aims to give back to the communities within which it operates, through offering advice and financial assistance.
Chiltern Consulting was named the winners, with the runners-up C34 finishing not far behind.
The winners of the nearest-to-the-pin competition was Sue Hele, and the longest drive contest was won by Daniel Alverez.
Overall an impressive £4,500 was raised on the day.
Mat Waddington, HCCT secretary, said: “The charity’s thanks go to Harrison Clark for organising such a successful event.
“We are delighted with the amount raised, all of which will be distributed to good causes.”
Due to the success of the day the firm has already organised to return to the golf course for the fund-raiser in September 2013.
Businesses interested in entering can register by calling Mat Waddington on 01242 269 198.
