STAFF and residents at a Bromsgrove care home looked pretty pink at a charity fund-raiser.

Breme Care Home, in Providence Road, held a Pink Friday event on October 25 where everyone was encouraged, for a small donation, to wear pink attire.

The day included fun and games, with special pink prizes on offer, and pink badges and cupcakes were put on sale.

Overall £110 was raised on the day, which is being donated to Breast Cancer Care, a charity which provides a lifeline service for people with breast cancer and their loved ones.

Care home manager Karen Keen said: “We all loved dressing up and our residents really enjoyed taking part and getting into the spirit of the occasion.

“What better way to support such a worthwhile charity than by turning our Friday pink.”
