A TALENTED hair stylist from a Bromsgrove salon has been recognised in a national competition.
Stacey Ingleby, from Profiles hairdressing salon in New Road, Aston Fields, entered and reached the final of the Société Française de Biosthétique's, (SFB), Young Total Beauty Award.
Five finalists competed in the category, for under 25s, and were challenged to create a style on a model - a style they had previously submitted in a photograph which gained them finalist status.
Stacey took to the stage in the competition, held at Bromsgrove’s Hilton Hotel, and attempted to recreate her look in a tense 30 minutes.
A panel of industry experts then judged Stacey and the rest of the finalist’s efforts.
“Stacey’s model was a very competent interpretation of a classic chignon, very now, very on trend for autumn winter,” said judge Michelle Griffin.
“Working long hair into an up-do demands several different hairdressing skills and Stacey worked with confidence, making it look easy, which it isn’t.”
Stacey’s style earned her the runners up prize in the competition, narrowly missing out on the award, which was won by Sheffield-based hairdresser Danielle Cheston..
