THOSE who make the ultimate sacrifice in two World Wars and conflicts since were honoured at Remembrance Sunday services across Bromsgrove.

This year Remembrance Day fell on Sunday and, as in previous years, a procession made up of various organisations marched from High Street to St John’s Church.

After the church service, the procession then reassembled at the Burma Star memorial for a short service, which included wreaths being laid at the memorial.

In Catshill, the 6th Bromsgrove Scout Group were among the organisations who joined for a service of remembrance for the fallen.

On Saturday, the Bromsgrove branch ran a special stall in Bromsgrove High Street as part of this year’s Poppy Appeal.

The stall included military vehicles and re-enactors, proving popular among townsfolk and helping to boost the money collected.

The money raised from the appeal is donated to the Royal British Legion, which provides care and support for ex-servicemen and women of all ages and to those currently serving.
