NOW a regular fixture in the Artrix calendar, the English String Orchestra’s Christmas concert will include the usual mix of seasonal music and, for the first time, a collaboration with dance students.
The orchestra will join forces with Penelope's Dance Studio (recently featured at Her Majesty's Theatre, London) in an evening's entertainment to lift the spirits.
From Vivaldi's magical Winter from The Four Seasons, Pachelbel's Canon and A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square to Copland's exciting Hoe-Down from the musical Rodeo, the programme delivers a feast of favourite classics with a Christmas flavour.
The programme also includes the exciting premiere of a new mini-ballet The Night Before Christmas.
People might even catch a glimpse of a sugar plum fairy.
The English String Orchestra will be at the Artrix on Saturday, December 8 at 7.30pm.
