JAZZ enthusiasts are being invited to a swinging charity evening being held in Bromsgrove.
The Simon Deeley Trio and their special guest jazz vibraphonist and raconteur John Sparry, will be performing at the Spadesbourne Suite at the Council House in Burcot Lane.
They will be performing various well-known numbers from great song composers such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hart, Duke Ellington and Hoagy Carmichael.
They will also be telling entertaining anecdotes about each number and its composer.
The invitation to the evening comes from Bromsgrove District Council’s civic head, Councillor Janice Boswell and consort Ian Boswell.
Proceeds raised on the night will be donated to the civic head’s chosen charities, the Primrose Hospice, Edward’s Trust and the Stroke Association.
The event, which includes a bar, refreshments and a raffle, is being held on Friday, January 25, from 8pm.
Tickets cost £10, and residents are urged to purchase early to avoid disappointment.
