Police investigate Barnt Green burglary
10:00am Sunday 6th January 2013 in News
BROMSGROVE police are investigating a house burglary in Barnt Green.
A front window was forced open to gain access to the property in Victoria Mews, off Hewell Road, while the owner was out between 3.10-5.20pm on Thursday, January 3.
A hand-held Dyson vacuum cleaner was taken from the kitchen and forensic examinations have been taking place to ascertain what, if anything else, was stolen.
Detective Constable Cheryl Jones of Bromsgrove CID said: "Victoria Mews is behind the shops in Barnt Green and can only be accessed by vehicle or on foot via an archway between the shops.
"If you saw or heard anything suspicious at the time or which, with hindsight, you think may be connected with this then please let us know immediately."
Officers have been conducting house-to-house inquiries in the area in order to establish if there were any witnesses.
Anyone with information is asked to call Bromsgrove CID on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 442-S-030113.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
