Bromsgrove police praise public after men arrested

POLICE are thanking members of the public who alerted them to two incidents in Bromsgrove, which led to the arrests of three men.

Officers were called to the Princess of Wales Hospital’s car park, off Stourbridge Road, at around 10pm on Tuesday, January 15.

There were several reports of men acting suspiciously by some Transit vehicles.

They were chased from the scene after several other men drove on to the car park, in a red vehicle.

Shortly afterwards officers were called to a disturbance in Elm Grove, and three men were arrested on suspicion of interfering with vehicles.

After being taken into custody, it was discovered one of the men was in breach of bail and curfew conditions, and was returned to prison.

The other two men were questioned and released on police bail until February 11, pending further inquiries.

Police are now appealing for more witnesses to come forward, particularly if they were near the car park at the time.

PC Darren Keyte said: "We are gathering CCTV footage as part of the investigation into this incident and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these men in or near the hospital car park.

“I would like to thank all those people who called in to report what they saw, enabling us to respond quickly and make the arrests."

Anyone with information is asked to call PC Keyte at Bromsgrove Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 591-S-150113, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
