AN event is being held in Bromsgrove celebrating lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender (LGBT) month.
The district council run event is being held at the Artrix from 6pm on Thursday, February 7.
The family fun event is open to all, includes a children’s entertainer, information displays and a free buffet.
From 7.30pm a free film, Beginners, will be shown.
Throughout the month there will also be a photographic display, Otherness: Playing with Gender Representation, at the School Drive-based venue.
Bromsgrove District Council has joined forces with Redditch Borough Council for the month, which is being formally launched by Redditch mayor, Councillor Alan Mason, at an event at Redditch Town Hall on February 1.
Councillor Mark Bullivant said: “I am really pleased to see our united cross-party collaboration for this annual event with Redditch Borough Council continuing, and it’s great to see it in Bromsgrove for the fourth time.
"It has become more and more popular each year and those attending previous events have confirmed how it gives them a sense of recognition, value and inclusion in the community.”
