AN exhibition of images of the devastating impact of the Haiti earthquake, taken by a Bromsgrove photographer, has been shown in Ireland.

Earlier this month we reported that Ruth Edwards travelled to Haiti as a freelance flight attendant and took images of how the country responded in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake.

The Irish charity, Haven, was set up to support Haitians by providing emergency relief to those most in need.

Leslie Buckley, the charity’s chairman, asked Ruth if her images could be used in an exhibition.

During the last week the Burcot resident visited Dublin to see the exhibition, been held at the Irish Aid Centre.

And on Friday, Mrs Edwards was one of the invited guests to a charity ball organised by Haven.

Mrs Edwards said: “It's been such a privilege to be asked to come to Ireland and exhibit some of my photos.

“The exhibition had an excellent response.”

Mrs Edwards has made pictures from the exhibition available to view online, to help raise money for the Raven charity.
