BROMSGROVE and Redditch residents have been thanked for their support of an annual fund-raising campaign.

Staff at the Finstall-based Primrose Hospice have been celebrating after the Lights of Love and Tree of Lights campaigns raised more than £21,000.

Backed once again by the Advertiser, the appeal saw the names of loved ones who are no longer with us displayed around the base of an appeal tree, with a light dedicated to them hung on the tree.

In return, their families made a donation to Primrose Hospice, to enable them to continue to offer a wide range of clinical and support services to those living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Lyn Winters, the hospice’s fund-raising manager, said: “We are delighted to report that the recent Christmas fund-raising activity has proved to be a great success.

“This would not have been possible without the generosity of our local community.

“We would like to thank those individuals and businesses who supported the campaigns, either by making a donation in memory of a loved one or by helping us with the planning and delivery of the event.

“The services we offer at Primrose are given free of charge. Every donation makes a difference in so many ways.

“From everyone at Primrose, thank you.”
