POSTAL voters in Bromsgrove are being reminded to refresh their signature if they want to continue to vote by post in this year’s elections.

As part of the security measures all postal voters must provide a fresh signature every five years.

Bromsgrove District Council is urging more than 1,000 voters to respond to the most recent round of signature refresher forms, sent out this year.

If they are not renewed, existing postal vote arrangements for those voters will have to be cancelled.

It will also cost the council money to send out extra reminder forms, something the authority aims to avoid.

The form return deadline is Thursday, February 14.

Anyone who does not want to refresh their signature must still return the form, but can simply indicate on the form that they no longer wish to vote by post.

To apply for a postal vote, call the council’s electoral services team on 01527 881421 or email elections@bromsgroveandredditch.gov.uk.
