A NEW website has been launched providing information on a support service helping Bromsgrove residents during the winter.

Bromsgrove District Housing Trust’s (BDHT) Bliss Care and Support services are open to all types of residents including non-BDHT tenants, private sector tenants and owner occupiers.

Bliss offers two different services - a care service and a support service. Both are designed and based around the needs of the person, helping an individual remain independent.

Bliss Care is domiciliary care, with the service being delivered to the individual in their own home, while Bliss Support offers people floating support, helping an individual remain independent through support with everyday activities.

The service provided by Bliss Care includes helping people get dressed, help with personal hygiene and cleaning the home.

Day Plus social group, based at Shenstone Court, is supported by the Bliss Support service, enabling an individual to make friends and become part of the local community.

People in the region receiving certain benefits may be eligible to have their support service paid for by Worcestershire Supporting People funding.

The new website provides information on the service, the costs involved, and how anyone interested can apply.

It can be found at blisscare.org.uk.

Alternatively, for more information, call 0800 0850 160, asking for Bliss Care and Support.
