DRAINAGE work on the stretch of the M5 near Rubery has been postponed for a second time.

Due to take four weeks to complete, the work is being carried out on the drainage system and to gullies in a section of the hard shoulder.

The Highways Agency will be carrying out the work on the southbound carriageway, between Junction 3 (near Halesowen) and 4 (Lydiate Ash).

Work was due to begin on Monday, February 11, but to minimise disruption it has now been rescheduled for this Friday, February 15.

During the work, lane one will be closed from 8pm on Fridays through to 4pm on Mondays, and there will be a 50mph speed limit in place.

There will be no restrictions outside these times.
