TOWNSFOLK are being invited to this year’s Bromsgrove Society Lecture being held at a town school.

The lecture, the 27th held, takes place on Tuesday, April 9, from 7.30pm at Routh Hall, Bromsgrove School.

This year there will be an illustrated talk from Sarah Arrowsmith of Hereford Cathedral on Mysteries of The Mappa Mundi.

The map, dating back to the 13th century, is housed at the cathedral and is unique in Britain’s heritage.

The speaker has been the education officer at the cathedral, and is currently researching the textural and pictorial idioms of the map.

Tickets to the lecture are available from Foto Factory, in Bromsgrove High Street, or by calling 0121 445 5005 or 0121 453 3034
