CLERGY and members of town churches visited Bromsgrove High Street offering to say a prayer for those they met.
The Archdeacon of Dudley, Fred Trethewey, the Bishop of Dudley, David Walker, and the vicar of St John’s Chris Wingfield, as well as other clergy and lay people, took part in the annual Pray One for Me scheme, held on Ash Wednesday, (February 13).
The team approached members of the public asking them for their prayer requests, which were written on prayer cards.
The public’s requests were then prayed for later at Ash Wednesday services.
Bishop David said: “We know that people really appreciate somebody offering to say a prayer for them.
“We believe that prayer can make a real difference.”
