Car key burglary in Bromsgrove

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a grey Audi A4 S Line Quattro worth £15,000 was stolen in a car key burglary in Bromsgrove.

The four door model, registration BD09 ZWS, was taken from outside a property in Aspens Way after thieves broke in at the back of the house between 9pm on Thursday, February 14, and 7am the following day and took a key from the kitchen. Nothing else was stolen, but damage was caused during the break-in.

The stolen car is believed to have been driven off towards Birmingham.

Detective Sergeant Ed Slough said: “It would appear the car was the thieves’ target.

“We urgently want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard any unusual activity around there, if they saw a vehicle like this being driven at speed or erratically in that area, or if they have seen or know where this car is now.

“We would remind people of the need to check their properties are secure before they go to bed and not to leave keys or valuables on display.”

Anyone with information about the car key burglary is asked to call the police on non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 77-S-150213.

Details can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
