WITNESSES and information are being sought after vet supplies were stolen from a van in Stoke Prior.

It happened between 6pm on Monday, February 18 and 8am the following morning in a road off Shaw Lane.

Thieves broke into the Peugeot Partner van and stole a sat nav and veterinary supplies including needles, syringes and a single bottle of Ketofen.

The 100ml bottle is brown in colour and was in a white cardboard box. It is a strong anti inflammatory and is intended only for use in veterinary settings.

Among the side effects of Ketofen are heart burn and swelling of the throat and airways which causes breathing difficulty.

Police are asking residents to be on the look out for the bottle in case it has been thrown away by the thieves.

Anyone who finds it should call police straight away or take it to their nearest veterinary practice. If anyone should consume the contents of the bottle they should seek immediate medical assistance.

Anyone with information about the theft should contact police on 101, quoting incident 65-S-190213, or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
