Bromsgrove group invites people to Artrix event
7:40am Wednesday 6th March 2013 in News
A BROMSGROVE group, promoting interest in the written and spoken word, is inviting townsfolk to an evening highlighting new local writers.
Words has, since being formed in 1979, annually presented a programme of lectures and performances by writers, dramatists and poets, whose work concerns the development of language.
This year’s season of events continues on Friday, March 15, with an evening at the Artrix Theatre, in School Drive, featuring Robert Ronsson and Fiona Joseph.
Robert is a short fiction writer, and a National Academy of Writing prize-winner.
Fiona is a Birmingham-based author and publisher. Her biography, Beatrice, the Cadbury Heiress who Gave Away her Fortune, has been described as a highly compelling and thought-provoking narrative.
Tickets for the show costs £12 and a reduced £6 for students.
The show starts at 8pm.
Tickets are available from the Artrix box office on 01527 577330 or visit artrix.co.uk.
