REDNAL youngsters involved themselves in constant chatter at a Mad Hatters tea party help at their playgroup.

St Stephen’s Playgroup youngsters attended the party in fancy dress with a silly theme, which led to some children dressing in some wild costumes including as a Halloween witch, and the Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

The event was held as part of the Chatterbox challenges being held by the St Stephen’s Church playgroup this March.

Among the activities planned are making musical instruments, learning songs and rhymes, and new Makaton signs.

The playgroup will also be raising money for children with communication difficulties, later this month.

St Stephen’s playgroup manager Julie Kite-Lightfoot said everyone has so far enjoyed the challenges, and were looking forward to taking part in the rest planned.
