How to keep a theatre group alive
8:50am Wednesday 13th March 2013 in News
RESIDENTS are being invited to the fast-paced comedy Little Grimley's Troubles Tripled at the Artrix.
Presented by local theatre company, MadCap Theatre Productions, the show is a hilarious look at the struggle to keep a theatre group alive.
The show, the first night of a UK tour, follows the Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic society, current membership a grand total of four, deciding that sex is the only way to sell show tickets.
Not only does the group cause the village scandal of the decade, but they also stage a military-style operation to bring down a rival drama group.
Bromsgrove-based artistic director Emma Leigh said: “It’s a fantastic play.
“We are thrilled to be staging our opening night at our local theatre before we take it to venues across the Midlands and the UK.”
Little Grimley's Troubles Tripled is on March 16.
Tickets cost £12 (£10 concessions) and are available from the Artrix box office on 01527 577330 or artrix.co.uk.
