A BROMSGROVE-based author of young adult fiction has met with former Happy Days star and advocate for children’s literacy, Henry Winkler at Black Heath Library in Birmingham.

Carmen Capuano, who has written the successful trilogy ‘The Owners’ met Mr Winkler as part of the Children’s Reading Festival, which took place this month.

Ms Capuano was thrilled by the experience. She said: “We chatted a little and I presented him with signed copies of the first two books in The Owners series. Coincidently Henry's eldest son is called Jed which is the same name as one of the characters in volume one.”

Ms Capuano also took part in a charity book signing event at a branch of WH Smith to raise funds for Hope for Georgia Appeal, and Heart Research UK.
